| 11:15am-12:15pm | Ultrasound Coding for Gynecology: Back to the Basics |
| Do you know the difference between an HSG and a SIS, when you can bill for color Doppler, or when a gyn ultrasound should be billed instead of an obstetric one? There are not very many codes available to report gyn ultrasound procedures, but knowing which codes are appropriate for which situations will decrease denials. During this session we will discuss the indications for gyn ultrasound that are accepted by most payers, the documentation requirements for each type of gyn ultrasound and when it is appropriate to bill color flow Doppler. | |

| 12:15pm – 1:15pm | Lunch/ Exhibits |
| 1:15pm-2:15pm | Your Ultra Guide to Obstetric Ultrasound |
| With ICD9 codes to make the case for ob ultrasounds and armed with the guidelines, it should be easy to get those claims paid. But in truth, payers are beginning to limit the number of ultrasounds per pregnancy, and in some cases require special certification to bill for them at all. But armed with the correct information you can overcome many of these obstacles. This presentation takes the coder through all aspects of obstetric ultrasound coding. Correct coding and documentation will be discussed for each level of ultrasound study including indications for each and finding the right ICD-9 code. Coders will learn about appropriate ultrasound combinations, ultrasound guidance, when to report an ob rather than gyn ultrasound, and much more. As a special bonus, attendees will receive an ultrasound checklist and a list of diagnosis codes for each major indication for ultrasound. | |

| 2:15pm-3:15pm | Primer for Urodynamic Test Coding |
| You may know where to find the urodynamics codes in the CPT book, but do you understand how to report them? This session will go over the documentation you should expect for each test and how multiple tests can help the physician determine the best treatment plan. Each test will be defined so that you will understand what is being measured and why. We will make the important connection between diagnoses and test options to ensure appropriate payment for the tests performed | |
