Kelly Dennis, MBA, CPC, ACS-AP, has more than twenty-four years experience in anesthesia billing. She received her Master of Business Administration degree, Summa Cum Laude from AIU University in November 2005. She became a certified coder with the American Academy of Professional Coders in 2001, a PMCC certified instructor in 2002, has received a Certificate of Proficiency in Anesthesiology from the American Academy of Professional Coders, and is an Advanced Certified Coding Specialist in Anesthesia and Pain Management. In addition, Kelly serves as lead anesthesia advisor for the Board of Advanced Medical Coding.
Kelly is an active member, past Legislative Liaison and past President of Florida Anesthesia Administrators’ Association, and currently serves as the President-Elect of Medical Group Management Association’s Anesthesia Administrators Assembly. Kelly is president of Perfect Office Solutions, Inc., which offers a variety of both on and off site services, including training and external reviews. She has a firm commitment to education and dedicates time to speak at various meetings and teleconferences throughout the year. Kelly believes learning is a life-long quest and continuously learns from others and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience in return. |

Marvel J. Hammer, RN, BS, CPC, CCS-P, ASC-PM, CHCO, is an accomplished professional with considerable years of experience both in the business and medical fields resulting in a combined health and business background. She is a coding and compliance consultant and principal of MJH Consulting based in Denver, Colorado.
She provides documentation auditing, healthcare compliance evaluations and coding/account receivables assistance for her clients. Marvel takes pleasure in teaching providers and their staff on correct coding and billing issues. She has presented on these topics nationwide. She has worked in computer billing software design, implementation, training, and conversion of software systems.
Marvel received a BS from the University of Colorado – Denver with an emphasis in finance and information systems. She maintains her credentials with the American Academy of Professional Coders as a Certified Professional Coder and American Health Information Management Association as a Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based. She is the Past-president of the Rocky Mountain chapter of AAPC. Additionally, she has attained the qualifications of Advanced Coding Specialist – Pain Management and Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer. Marvel is a registered nurse with over twenty-five years experience in a multitude of specialties. Her field of specialties includes Pain Management, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, and Occupational Medicine. |

Suzan Berman-Hvizdash, CPC, CPC-EDS, CPC-EMS, is responsible for teaching 200+ staff/faculty on the intricacies and importance of compliance with current documentation requirements, as the Physician Educator for the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is also actively involved as the Senior Auditor and Advisory Board Member for the Coding and Reimbursement Network (CRN), serves as a Technical Consulting Writer for Ingenix Publishing and is also an Advisory Board Member for General Surgery Coding Alert and Part B Insider, Eli Publishing as well as a National Advisory Board Member of the American Academy of Professional Coders. Mrs. Hvizdash has been the technical consultant for the AAPC for an Evaluation and Management e-learning module as well as the co-author of the CPC-EMS Study Guide. She continues to be a guest lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh speaking to undergraduate HIM students on E/M documentation. |

Leslie Johnson, CCS-P, currently holds the position of Director of Education and Research at DR Management. DR Management, LLC is a practice management & consulting firm located in Fort Wayne Indiana. Ms. Johnson is the Director for Research and Education as well as the Coding and Compliance Consultant for DR Management, LLC.
Johnson has been in the industry since 1992 and has served in various positions performing billing, coding and teaching for multiple specialties. Her expertise is extensive and includes optometry & ophthalmology, family practice & internal medicine, cardiology, anesthesia/pain management, general surgery, OB, radiology, and orthopedics.

Joanne Mehmert, CPC, has specialized in medical office management and reimbursement issues for the past 35 years. A Certified Operating Room Technician and a Certified Professional Coder, she brings “walk in your shoes” experience directly to physicians’ staff as well as an understanding of the clinical aspects of the practice. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. She has an Associate Degree in Nursing. Mrs. Reybitz has had her Certified Professional Coder status in Physician and Hospital Billing since 1999. She is married with 4 children, 24, 14, 13, and 8 and is currently working on her Master’s Degree.

Sharlene A. Scott, CPC, CPC-H, CCP, CPC-I, has been working in the healthcare arena for more than twenty years. Her wealth knowledge in the areas of coding, chart auditing, physician training, make stet her a very sought after professional. She has developed compliance plans and assisted physicians specialties in understanding the Revenue Cycle Management process. Jill M. Young, CPC, CPC-ED, CPC-IM, has been in the medical field over 20 years. As president of Young Medical Consulting, LLC she has had a diverse background having held or performed all jobs in a medical office, from clinical to transcription to billing. Education leads to compliance and she works with both staff and physicians to achieve this. Current issues of HIPPA, credentialing, billing, coding, A/R work and improvement of office flow including encounter forms and coding sheets are regularly seen areas in need of improvement that are identified thru education.
