Pediatrics Coding Practitioners and Office Staff Summit
Four Points by Sheraton San Diego

May 3, 2013 (Friday)
Our Pediatrics Coding Practitioners and Office Staff Summit will highlight code changes for pediatrics, diagnosis codes, codes for well/ ill newborns and coding for office visits and procedures.
Do you understand Medicare’s conversion factor? Probably not since you don’t deal with Medicare but a little understanding can go a long way! Lots of changes to Medicaid payments-do you know what they are? It might change your mind on taking Medicaid patients.
Coding for those diagnoses can be tricky and costly to your practice if you don’t know how to use the correct codes. Did you know that you are now being paid on your diagnosis codes? That in fact a carrier is paying you less for a visit just because you said the child had an otitis media?
Babies are born well then get sick so what and how are you suppose to code for those services when done on the same date? How do you bill when the neonate gets critically ill? All of these scenerios will be answered during the summit.
Saving the best for last-let’s talk about your bread and butter codes! Office visits, well care, hospital care, consultations, and minor procedures are the basic services performed on a daily basis. BUT if you don’t understand how to level those codes then it doesn’t matter what all you do in the practice at all!
Hurry! Reserve your seat and be part of this learning experience.
